The COVID-19 pandemic and social isolation are often accompanied by feelings of anguish, fear, stress and anxiety. This unprecedented situation can cause problems for the mental health of professionals in all areas.

But how to contribute to the mental health of your employees during the coronavirus pandemic? We bring some tips to share!

Stay connected: stay in touch with your team through video calls and group messages;
Understand the situation: encourage your employees to share their feelings, not only with the work team, but with close friends and family;
Create a pleasant routine: for those who are at home office, suggest creating a daily routine with specific schedules and tasks;
Do activities: create new activities and encourage your employees to have hobbies, even if in social isolation. The exchange of reading and entertainment tips is a suggestion;
Think realistically: with so much insecurity, being too pessimistic can be even more dangerous for your mental health. So be realistic when approaching the subject with colleagues and collaborators. Too pessimistic thoughts can create an even more uncomfortable mood;
Limit exposure: It is very important to stay informed and share relevant data with the team, however, too much news can generate anxiety. So, limit your exposure time to news portals, television and even social networks. Also, always look for reliable sources.

In addition to these tips, it is important to remember that behaviors in general can be greatly affected, but if in doubt, advise your employees – and you – to seek help from professionals.
